The knee brace can be worn for instability, gonarthrosis, arthritis, recurring joint effusion, tendomyopathy, ligamentitis, meniscopathy, chronic, post-traumatic or postoperative irritation, and prevention of and recurring prophylaxis.

The new Omega+ pad protects and encases the kneecap, stabilizing the joint and massaging the surrounding tissue during movement. This enhances the pain-relieving and sensorimotoric effect of the support by stimulating two sensitive areas of the knee: the Hoffa's fat pad and the base of the meniscus. Lateral polyurethane stays embedded in the brace have flexible bending zones to follow the user's movement patterns. Donning and doffing aids integrated into the stays make it easier to wear.

GenuTrain's new soft knitted fabric is now 20% lighter and more breathable, anatomically-contoured and texturized to contact the skin and engage proprioception. Bauerfeind's products are made of high-quality materials, which enables long, moisture-balancing and easy-care use. The product is washing machine suitable at a maximum of 86°F on the gentle cycle with a mild detergent without fabric softener. It is recommended to wash the product with similar colors and in a washing net. Ironing should also be completely avoided and the product should only be air-dried.

The Omega+ pad leaves the kneecap (patella) pressure free and provides intermittent compression to the soft tissue of the joint leading to increased circulation, thus aiding in the reabsorption of swelling and edema. The soft knit fabric makes the support stretchy and comfortable, breathable, and machine washable (gentle cycle), which helps maintain its elasticity and original fit.
